Alcamo - Sperlinga, 170 km
4.-13. April 2012
It was a very fresh and springlike Sicily with plenty of sunshine, which accompanied us on this stage. We passed artichoke fields, meadows with purple-blooming wild clover, lemon and olive groves, as well as villages, which are stuck on top of hills like eyries. We almost reached the volcano Etna, which we had in our sight the last days while walking to the East. Our kids Tobias and Begimaj, and a good Kyrgyz friend named Aigerim were with us on this trip and walked with us together about one third of the way.
