The known trail called Sentiero Sardegna wasn’t a good choice for us, thus we had to discover our own route as usual. We finally got through to the mountainous region Barbagia in central Sardinia after one week. However, we had to cross countless cork oak forests and dry grassy plains riddled with rugged rocks. Instead of climbing summits we frequently had to climb cattle and barb wire fences!
